Since 1996, ACCESO International has supported various projects ranging from preschool to post-secondary education in the following countries:

ACCESO International selects and supports projects that provide opportunities for vulnerable populations including, among others, those facing racial discrimination, gender inequality, geographic dislocation. For example, in the Dominican Republic, many of our projects assist with the education of Haitian migrants and refugees, and in Guatemala, our projects are located in isolated and under-serviced mountainous regions among indigenous communities, while most of our projects in Honduras focus on educating and empowering girls and women.

The members of ACCESO International are very proud of the opportunities that our projects create for thousands of children, youth, women and men in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. We are inspired and motivated by the active efforts of the individuals and organizations with whom we collaborate and by the resulting positive outcomes.

The Bahamas

In the Bahamas, we have provided post-secondary bursaries to female youth of Haitian heritage from Eleuthera Island.

Bolivia

In Bolivia, we have provided educational materials for a day care, library and human rights workshops as well as bursaries for youth and women in Cochabamba.

Canada

In Canada, we provide school supplies to children and youth from low-income refugee and immigrant families in Ottawa as part of our Back-to-School Project and support local indigenous students through our Indigenous Student Post-Secondary Bursary program.

Colombia

In Colombia, we have provided computer support for a primary school in Cali.

The Dominican Republic

In the Dominican Republic, we support university students, libraries, a vocational centre, primary schools, playgrounds, summer camps and health education in Yamasá, San José de Ocoa and Consuelo.

El Salvador

In El Salvador, we have supported the post-hurricane reconstruction of a primary school in Canton Joya Grande.

Guatemala

In Guatemala, we support bilingual pre-schools in Sacala, Tioxya, San Lucas and Guatemala City.

Haïti

In Haïti, we support homework centres, summer camps, health education, and the post-earthquake reconstruction of primary schools in Verrettes and Port-au-Prince.

Honduras

In Honduras, we support high schools, primary schools, an orphanage, a day care, homework centres, dormitories, skills training centres, health education seminars and human rights workshops for children and women in El Progreso, La Lima, Monte Verde and La Esperanza.
