Thank you for inquiring about becoming a volunteer with ACCESO International! As a volunteer you will be joining a dynamic and collegial group of progressively-minded academics, educators, social activists, students and humanitarians. Our volunteer collective operates in a non-hierarchical way according to the principles of equality, solidarity, peace, human rights and social justice. Volunteer meetings are held in Ottawa, Canada.
To apply to be a volunteer, please send an e-mail to [email protected] that includes a brief description of your goals as a volunteer with ACCESO International, your availability, and your CV/resume with three current references. Prior to becoming a member, all volunteers must obtain a Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector. The Board of Directors reviews and approves applications.
Please note that ACCESO International does not offer paid employment or internships. Nor do we offer international placements with our project partners. While long-time volunteers do occasionally travel to our project countries for ACCESO-related purposes, such travel is funded personally.
