In El Salvador, ACCESO International assisted a community to rebuild its school which had been destroyed by a hurricane in 2009. We supported the reconstruction and replenishment of the school’s cafeteria, kitchen and storage area.
We also assisted with basic teaching materials as well as office, computer and science lab equipment, bookshelves and library books. Psychological support was also provided to students and families who suffered traumatic experiences during the hurricane. A children’s rights education workshop was also hosted to help students to gain greater insight into their potential as world citizens.
